Describe the reading

Published by November 1, 2022. Super short story, 36 pages. About sisterhood in an island.

Sisterhood from an island

Isabel Gibson is a New Yorker, born and grew up from an island and a family bookstore. She has been in struggle to close the bookstore and leave the island since her parents are gone. However her sister, Sophie, insist to keep this family remains. With these mindset discrepancies, they didn't talk and communicate for years.

One day, Isabel received a letter sent by her niece from the island, requesting her to come back to the island and take care Sophie due to her broken leg... This is the fate that spark again the relationship in between, also with a man that has been loving her for years...

The culprit

The disconnect between sisters is due to miscommunication, and misunderstanding to each other. While Sophie would thought Isabel never appreciate family, and Isabel hates to get controlled by Sophie's comments.

You would grit teeth while you are reading - "Why can't you two just speak to each other?!", this kind of feelings. Unfortunately, these are truth. People speak the lesser of own thought the more they growing elder.

<The Bookstore Sisters> is not a fancy or excited story, but to convey how personal pursue and lack of communication made people far apart.
