The Broken Circle
Enjeela Ahmadi-Miller
Another memoir! This is a memoir about a family that trying to escape from Afghanistan, they spent total of 2 years, stop at different points and waiting for the best timing to move on. I'm amazed by how much their escape leader, the father, so much stratergics and patient and sharp sense that evaluates the success rates of every next steps.
In the end they've finally reunited with families at India, and live another 2 years before decided the trip to America. Too bad there's no contents about their immigration to America, I was wondering how would they live in India and then America (currently) without a proper passport/immigration records when they left Afghanistan, these info never included.
. It's kinda a slow pace story (even with this title), I almost give up reading until the key started almost 30/40%. And frankly speaking the ending is so emotional and long winded like trying to hit page count (especially when it take few pages to talk about clothes shopping for their new live in India) - why is nowadays books occupy so much irrelevant starting and endings. :(
Overall it's an impressed reading, a calm and bold father that leads a family to a peaceful life.
