A castle built with gold, even the king's favored - she has a gold skin, and gold hairs...
King Midas, the king of fourth kingdom that could turn anything to gold with his touch. He is so arrogant and believe everything can be resolved using his golds, which it actually proven after King Fulke defeated by his gold offer. He is such a toxic king yet with strong aura that I almost believe that he is the lead character in this series.
Auren, the female lead, being the only human that golden touched by King Midas. The fact is she is actually just one of the top among the king's sexual partner. She is king's precious, so precious that Midas lock her into a golden cage for 10 years, and yet she still trusted him! The "love" from Midas is so twisted, full of emotional control and mind games. I'm sure there will be alot of cursing comments regarding this settings... yet, I would also understand why a female lead starting the series, only lady would accept these twisted loves, being punished yet still believe that it's a precious love from the King.
I'm going to recommend this series to anyone I meeting in coming days and weeks!

The reimagined of a Greek Myth
The background of this story built from an attractive perspective - a story that reimagined King Midas and his golden touch. I would suggest you to spend 5 minutes in Googling or ChatGPT about this myth, it's interesting myth actually.King Midas, the king of fourth kingdom that could turn anything to gold with his touch. King Midas is a great emotional control lead in the story, Auren fall like shit under his words. If you can accept the psycho challenge, I strongly recommend a True Story reading <If You Tell: A True Story of Murder, Family Secrets, and the Unbreakable Bond of Sisterhood> by Gregg Olsen. It's a true story about psychos, and how others being emotional controlled and trapped into such.A good choice

I completed book #2 when I'm writing this article, and seriously, this series is AWESOME.I'm going to recommend this series to anyone I meeting in coming days and weeks!
